ACCOMMODATION
Very cheap and reasonably comfortable accommodation is now available from 2005 in Brikama at Bojang Lodge.
The accommodation is in individual round huts, with a bedroom, plus shower and toilet which are located behind the internal wall behind the top of the bed, seen in the photograph on the left. Shared cooking facilities are available outside the huts and the market is nearby. For bookings contact Dembo Santang on 00220 9927828. However, Brikama is situated a reasonable distance from the tourist hotel areas for those who would prefer to stay there.
A journey to Brikama from any of the hotels in the main tourist area would take around a half an hour by tourist taxi, or - much cheaper and much more fun - by "tanka-tanka", the bush taxi minibuses.
